Coaching is about achieving results for you
The only objective of coaching is to achieve results for you - the coachee. Ideally this means to improve an area of your choice in a given time of between 3 to 12 months. If what you are looking for are monetary results, the average annual Return On Investment (ROI) in Coaching is around 700%. This means that if you invest 10.000,00€ in Coaching the average value you get out of this investment is 70.000,00€. Obviously we could ask: Well, which term are you looking at? In order to simplify we align the measurement period with the fiscal year and use one year. Said that it is obvious that the long term ROI is much higher than the 700% average we mentioned.
However many coachees are not looking for direct monetary results but for other areas of improvement such as communication skills, habit building or relationship improvements.

The study was run by the International Coach Federation (ICF) in 2009.
